I'd like to ask everyone to pray for us this Thursday at 2:00pm. The federal district court judge in Charlotte will here the arguments challenging the State statute 163-122 that places an undue burden on Independent candidates seeking ballot access. Pray that the judge will realize that the "parties" stack the deck against unaffiliated candidates, and for favor in these particular cases. Thank you so much.

Well we got the official count from the State Board of Elections on the Petition drive. Signatures submitted 9313. Certified voters 7907. Not bad for a grassroots effort that raised 0 campaign contributions and only used volunteer help. It's amazing what a good effort will do. Pray that the US District court judge will see the absurd requirement the State places on Independent candidates.

Pray that the Lord will have His way in the pending Court case in US District Court concerning State statute 163-122 regarding the States' treatment of Independent Candidates, and the agregious requirements for ballot access.

Our deadline is fast approaching. Everyone who has any petitions (even if they only have a couple of signatures on them) get them sent to me asap. The deadline for submitting them is 6/10/10 and every signature is vital. Thank you all for your effort. I'll let you know the exact count when we get it.

I really need friends willing to spend some time on Tuesday 5/4 at as many precincts in the district as possible collecting signatures during the primary. Even though Independents aren't allowed on the ballot in the primary we can collect signatures for the petition drive. I hope you'll volunteer so we can make a difference. Message me if you will.

Just wondering how many people really believe Independents should be able to get on the ballot to run for office just like those in a political party. Post a comment if you like!

I need volunteers to help me. I found out that even though I'm not allowed on the ballot in the primary because I'm Independent I can have people at any precinct I want in the district collecting signatures as long as we're 50 feet from the entrance. Will you help me so that we can overcome this onerous requirement the state has for Independents. If you will I can plug you in. HHHEEELLLPPP!!!

I'm really hoping a bunch of my friends would be willing to help collect a few signatures each as this petition drive is so difficult. If everyone would do just a little it would lighten the load and help a lot. I would really appreciate your help. Please pray for me that I would have enough stamina to keep up the frantic pace of working full time plus the petition drive, it's a bit overwhelming at times.

We were doing demo on a doctors office today and I was thinking how different Washington would be if our 535 members of Congress were farmers, truck drivers, clerks, plummers, bank tellers, ect. instead of beaurocrats, lawyers, and the very wealthy. It can happen America, get involved!

How Important is it to have someone else on the ballot for Congress besides one of the two political parties? How many of my friends will do a little something to help an Independent get on the ballot by signature petition? Do you live in the 5th congressional district, and would you get me a handfull of signatures? Check my website for counties in the 5th district. I really need your help!
