For years this spot along the Shellrock river has hosted special family events and last year, even our daughter's wedding. This year two of our sons and Willy himself built a beautiful store, adding to our Shantytown. Being open March-Christmas allows time to search out new and vintage items from around the US. Along with the talents of our immediate family, my sisters have become very involved as

well. " When work involves seeing more of the people you love, and you love what you do, it really doesn't seem like work."

This day hit hard. I didn’t want to close but my body tells a different story. It’s not just an ankle-it’s spine and pain.
Today I pealed myself out of bed and faced the carnage of a sale. The store looks like a warzone and for that I am thankful and greatfull.
The last nine years at shantytown and W***y’s Nillies have given me great pleasure in meeting some of my favorite people-some I’ve known and some unknown souls.
Thank you for the patronage, friendship, and memories.

Nine years ago my sons and husband built this rustic building to house W***y’s Nillies. The time has come where my body doesn’t cooperate with moving furniture and climbing like a monkey to keep the store fresh and exciting.

So-everything will be 40% off during the Heartland Market Trail September 26-27.

While I struggled with keeping my full 2025 calendar, the reality is, that isn’t going to happen. These will be the only shopping days before we close for good. If there is anything you’ve had your eye on, don’t hesitate to contact me. However, large pieces will not be picked up until the last day of the sale.
