Here are some tips on how to get your clothes ready for summer with just a few simple alterations...

1) Summer Dresses: Shorten or adjust straps on Sundresses and Tank tops. This is one of the most common summer fit problems and can be fixed with a simple adjustment by your tailor or seamstress. you could also convert fixed straps to adjustable ones for a more polished look.

2) Has your linen dress or button-down shirt relaxed? Over time, after a season or two, a linen piece can begin to feel shapeless. The fabric may have begun to stretch. If so, have it taken in or have darts sewn in to make it fit like it did when you first purchased it. Adding or repositioning the darts at the waist or bust can create structure and give it a more fitted silhouette.

3) Finally, shorts or cropped pants can be tapered to give them a cleaner and more up to date fit.
