My mom, Alice, began teaching me how to sew at a very young age. It was because of her influence that I became a fashion designer, and developed a life long passion for sewing, textiles, and design. She is my angel partner, and she is in everything that I create.

This is a beautiful way to finish a garment. I just bought a hand woven sweater coat from a weaver in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia while visiting there this summer. After cutting the woven goods she assembled the coat using this technique. The result is so beautiful.
