Ready for a story that will make you want to dig through your family’s closets?

Allison’s recent vintage redesign is one we’ll never forget. For her own wedding, Allison chose to bring a very special family heirloom back to life—and wear it as the third generation to do so.

Her grandmother first wore the dress in 1947.
Her mother wore it for her own wedding in 1987, keeping the original design.
And now, Allison wore it to her rehearsal dinner nearly 80 years after her grandmother first wore it.

Fluffing lesson!!! Listen for the groom giving his advice and input, so cute!

So a couple things:
- I said “it’s not delicate” because…
- I did the alterations on this dress and we tacked the layers together on the train, so I knew when they were pulled together, they became strong
- always fluff dress, then veil. But, I like to slightly grip the veil while fluffing the gown so the veil doesn’t get too far away from me, aka it’s quicker
- fluff TOWARDS the guests, not necessarily behind the bride (just my personal opinion!)

This is NOT a wrist strap! It is for the hanger. I would argue that using this as a wrist strap makes your gown MORE dirty than if you just let the train drag behind you…reason is because it puts the right side of the fabric dragging on the floor- don’t want that!

However, this is a fabulous tool for the hanger!

This dress was soooo functional! Had 4 huge pockets in total, was so nice to have!!

This is my day-of styling service, where I help brides by steaming the gowns, getting her dressed, help the photographer prep and fluff for photos, and I essentially become her personal assistant the rest of the day! So majority of what is shown here is items for the brides (and groom!).
