Well… this was a first. 😅
A customer recently reached out after purchasing one of our “Don’t Be Salty, Be Great” shirts at the River & Rail market.
She had tucked it away for an upcoming vacation and when she pulled it back out to pack, she discovered something I somehow missed entirely…
The back design was missing.
Not crooked.
Not faded.
Not peeling.
Just… never printed. 🤦♀️
Somewhere between pressing shirts, packing inventory, setting up vendor events, and life in general, one shirt made it out into the world with only the front logo.
Thankfully, the customer was incredibly kind, and we’ll be swapping it out for the shirt she originally intended to purchase.
Running a small business means wearing a lot of hats, and every once in a while something slips through the cracks. Of course I wish it hadn’t happened, but I’d rather be honest about mistakes than pretend they never happen.
The good news? Mistakes like this remind me to slow down, double-check inventory, and keep improving the process.
And if you’ve ever purchased something from 517 Threads and something isn’t right, please reach out. Whether it’s a printing issue, sizing concern, or apparently a completely missing back design 😆, I want to make it right.
