The next time a Democrat tries to tell you that Donald Trump r***d a 13 year-old associated with Jeffrey Epstein, here are the facts and why those allegations were dropped. Yes, they were dropped. And this is why:

The man associated with The Jerry Springer Show who promoted her allegations was Norm Lubow, a former producer for the show.
The Accuser's Identity: The woman proceeded in court primarily as "Jane Doe" or "Katie Johnson". The lawsuit, which alleged the assaults took place in 1994 when she was 13 were ultimately withdrawn or dismissed.
The Producer's Role: Lubow, operating under the pseudonym "Al Taylor," acted as a publicist and aggressively shopped the accuser's testimony to various media outlets in the months leading up to the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
The Aftermath: Following investigations into Lubow’s involvement, the mainstream credibility of the "Katie Johnson" lawsuits deteriorated, and the claims largely fizzled out before her legal team dropped the suits in late 2016. Detailed reporting on the origins of this case can be found on Snopes and The Guardian.

“Katie Johnson” never existed.

It’s honestly disheartening to see the behavior of some people running for office. The things that are said, the rumors that are spread, and the outright lies being told about others—it’s not what leadership should look like.

Let me encourage everyone: do your own research.Don’t rely on what someone else tells you. Talk to the candidates yourself. Ask questions. Listen carefully. You’ll quickly learn who is being genuine and who is not.

Some people will tell you what you want to hear. Others will tell you the truth. It’s up to you to take the time to figure out the difference.

Take everything you hear with a grain of salt and dig deeper before forming your opinion.

Our local elections matter more than people realize. The primary is coming up on May 5, with early voting starting this Wednesday. These decisions directly impact our community, our families, and our future.

Don’t vote just because a friend told you to.Don’t vote based on a name you recognize. And don’t sit it out and then complain about the results.

👉 Join us this Tuesday at 6 PM at Apple Blossom Cafe to hear directly from the mayoral candidates as they answer your questions—unscripted. This is your opportunity to come out and hear for yourself what the candidates have to say.

Get informed. Get involved. And most importantly—get out and vote.

Amy Poteet is a lifelong Republican, wife, and mother of two adult daughters. She and her family moved from Florida to Tennessee in 2017 and quickly became active in their local Republican Party in 2019.

In 2020, Amy re started the Anderson County Federated Republican Women, where she continues to serve as President. In 2022, she was elected Area Three A Vice President, representing Anderson, Roane, Campbell, Scott, Fentress, Morgan, and Pickett counties.

⚠️ Tennessee Primary Election Law Explained ⚠️

When a voter requests a Republican or Democrat primary ballot in Tennessee, they must sign an Application for Ballot affidavit like the one shown here.

By signing this affidavit, the voter is declaring under penalty of perjury that:

• They are registered and eligible to vote in their precinct
• They have not already voted in the election
• If voting in a primary election, they are a bona fide member of or affiliated with the political party whose ballot they request, or they declare allegiance to that party and intend to affiliate with it.

This requirement comes from Tennessee Code Annotated § 2-7-115, which governs how voters request a party ballot in a primary election.

Primary elections exist so political parties choose their own nominees, and this affidavit is part of protecting that process.
