The evolution of a luxury handbag restoration, from a first time “Bag Beautifier”! 🤩
**Technically I’ve sat for
30+ hours of Restoration
specialist videos. Never mind it was all through reels or on YouTube! 🤫

Everything from my shoulders to my finger tips feels like I’ve scrubbed a castle with my bare hands! 💪🏻🤣 But each time I walk past this pretty lady, I can’t even believe it’s the same bag I unboxed 5 weeks ago. 🤯

Yes I knew it was a DIY paint job upon arrival, still didn’t care. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s an authenticated, vintage 1970’s Gucci handbag. I expected it to be in rough shape since it is older than me! 🤣 And if I’m being honest, the outside isn’t even the worst, the inside will take some more training videos, and lots of fine brush detail cleaning. I’m certain it’s never been cleaned out or wiped down in all its life! Italian Momma was neglected! 😩🤣

I told myself if nothing else, it can be a good project piece to practice my newly acquired Leather Working skills! 😎 It took me about 3 weeks after her arrival to work up the courage to glove up and dive in to this project. Maybe I bit off a bit more then I could chew this time but I said, “F**k it, let’s go! What’s the worst that could happen?” 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s a process! They trust the process! 🙏🏻
