The DRO Clothing T-shirts, hats and gear designed in San Leandro, CA I love graphic T-Shirts. I wear one almost everyday. My kids, Elysia and Nico, love to draw.

I was admiring some of their art one day and mentioned that it would look great on a T-Shirt. They agreed, we got to work, and The DRO was born!

I'm on the injured list. Turns out joining your teenage son's indoor soccer game might destroy your knee. I lasted 15 minutes but I was killing it every... single.... minute 😂.

Silver lining I get to spend a lot more time sitting at my workstation making shirts and hats while my tendon grows back on my knee cap.

March 2026 California Poppy Report: The DRO
Based on the latest 2026 reports, San Leandro is currently benefiting from a "moderate-to-strong" bloom following the heavy rains of late 2025. Using the current city data and botanical density metrics, here is the total conservative estimate for March 2026.

Total Conservative Estimate: ~25.5 Million Flowers
This represents an average density of 0.07 flowers per square foot across the entire 13.3 square mile city area (370,870,000 sq ft).

SQ FT per Large t-shirt
A standard, flat-laid large T-shirt measures approximately 22 inches in width and 30 inches in length.
Total Surface Area (Front + Back): ~1,320 square inches, or 9.16 square feet.
Go Outside: Just Poppies
Let's apply those estimates to a t-shirt design for The DRO.
9.16/.07 = 130.85 California poppies per The DRO t-shirt
