We are completely closed and everything is gone. We had lots of help from volunteers at the Nearly New Shop, carrying out our hangers and the very few pieces of merchandise we had left to donate today. We cleaned out our warehouse, and lastly took down the sidewalk sign. It has been a good run and we will miss seeing all of our wonderful customers. We appreciate all the cards, and sentiments expressed during the last month while we were seeing many of you in the store for the last time.
Many of you have been asking what our two full time employees, Beth and Sheila, will move on to. Beth has taken a job with Blair Glass at Blair's By The Lake, located in The Fort in McHenry. She will work there as store manager, lending her retail expertise and wonderful customer service to the menswear business. She would love to see you there. Sheila is taking some time to reflect and weigh her options. She promised to let us be among the first to know when she decides what direction she will pursue. We think of both of them as family and we wish them happiness in their new pathway.

We at Rudy's Clothing had our last sale of our 86 year tenure yesterday at minutes before 5:00.pm. Don Sincell was our final customer, which is very fitting since he and his family have been customers as long as we and our family have had our store! Bob and I could not have done it without the best associates ever; Beth Helbig, Sheila Hourtal, and "Saturday girls" Betsy and Stacy Thank you to all of our customers who made it fun to be in business all these years! Thank you to our wonderful downtown neighbors who have been so supportive and gave us such a wonderful send-off yesterday as we pepared to do our final Z-out and close our door and walk out together. Thank you to family who was with us, Jeannette Rudy Fitzwater and Gary Fitzwater, Alison Rudy Sweitzer and Kathryn and Emily Sweitzer. Special thanks to the following business cohorts; Peggy Jamison, Barb and Pat Franc, Judy Devlin, Karen White, and the Historical Society, and Sabrina and Jim Liggett, Donna Ghall, Suzie and Don Sincell, Kendall Ludwig for your special good-byes on our final day.

In cleaning out the safe we found old pix and quickly put together a partial pictorial timeine of Rudy's. It will be on display today and tomorrow for anyone who wants to stop in and look. Remember.. tomorrow at 5:00 we will close the door and say goodbye.

Slimsations, our best selling pants, known for comport, good looks, and their tummy tucking features, are 70% off and there are still some of the following sizes-4,12,14,16. Reg price was $68-74, depending on the length. This makes them $22.20 or less.

Cleaning out jewelry cupboard: We have lots of displayers for jewelry. Some is free to a good home. And does anyone want to buy the charm bar for $50?
