Or perhaps you know absolutely nothing about sewing, nada, zippo ...but you'd like to learn. Come to the Oakland Sew House Sewing Saturdays...o
r Sundays. You have an old sewing machine your Grandma gave you and its just sitting there because you can't figure out how to thread it or something. Bring it in, its likely I can get it working. Learn on a home machine or on an industrial machine. Learn patternmaking and grading. Learn about the garment industry and what you need to do to get your idea from point A to point B in the world of manufacturing. You will be coaxed, cajoled and taught by yours truly, Paula Pfotenhauer. Coming at you with over 30 years of sewing, patternmaking, grading and professional garment industry nonsense for you to be enlightened by. Master your machine- 12:00 -1:00
Days project demonstration is at 1:00- 2:00
Your FIRST CLASS - Donation. $5 suggested
REGULAR CLASS FEE : $15 for the class hour, $5 for second hour . $25.00 max. for day. ....or trade can be negotiated.
1:00- 5:00 Teens /Adults
Is your child ready to sew? I will teach them the basics of working a home machine and every Saturday there will be a project that will they will be able to complete and bring home. Machines are provided or bring your own. ....Pickles also included. ( see photo.)
