There was nothing like spending a few hours perusing the obscure movies at your local video shop on a Friday night. We're not talking your local Blockbusters either. No, no. We're talking about that one spot in your neighborhood that had a special section in the back behind a curtain of beads; the one with the one clerk who seemed to work every shift and had the most obscure knowledge of movies you've still yet to meet; the one with endless arrays of B movies, C movies and all the letters in the alphabet. Slaughter High. Neverending Story. I'm Gonna Git you Sucka, The Disco Godfather. The Toxic Avenger. We watched movies that shaped our psyche, molded our Gen X minds into the sardonic slags we are today. And you know what? We're all the better for it.
