It was hot, humid, and absolutely worth it! Another successful Southbury Strawberry Festival is officially in the books.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to adopt a new plush friend, browse my creations, or simply say hello. It was such a pleasure meeting so many wonderful people and seeing familiar faces throughout the day. Your support means the world to me.

Now it's time to unpack, cool off, and recover from this lovely souvenir sunburn. 😅

Good morning to all, but right now, I am addressing you specifically if you are an experienced scratch baker, or a baker who specializes in scratch cupcakes.

I've finished writing a solid draft of a cupcake recipe which I call Immortality by Chocolate.

THE CUPCAKE PROFILE:

- Chocolate + Espresso cake with orange juice
- Dark mocha orange espresso ganache
- Candied orange slices

COMPENSATION FOR TESTING

🧁 The Recipe itself, for you to keep, plus a FREE FINALIZED PDF version WELLLLLL before the cookbook releases.
🧁 This is a volunteer gig, so please only volunteer if you're willing to cover the cost of ingredients and have a GREAT time!
I don't want anyone slogging through a baking task for me if they don't feel that the final recipe being free and released to the baker is a fair trade. 🖤

QUALIFICATIONS

🧁 At least 5 years of scratch baking experience.
🧁 Ability to SAFELY consume and HANDLE (or have people nearby who can consume) GLUTEN , PROCESSED SUGAR, DAIRY, CHOCOLATE, CAFFEINE, EGGS, ORANGE.
🧁 The ability to keep ya zipper zipped until the cookbook is released.
🧁 COMFORTABLE working with boiling sugar.

You won't have to sign in blood or anything, but I'd be wicked f**ken sad if it got leaked. This recipe is deeply important to me and the fact that I'm choosing cupcake pals over close friends to test it feels big to me too. A little gifty-poo. Here ya go. 🖤

EXPECTATIONS OF THE CANDIDATE

Three years ago on the 3rd of June, I picked up a crochet hook and started a journey that would change my life in ways I never imagined.

What began as learning a new craft quickly grew into a passion, a small business, countless friendships, and hundreds of handmade creations finding homes all over the country.

Over the past three years, I've celebrated successes, learned from mistakes, tackled challenging custom orders, and watched my skills grow with every stitch. From my very first plushie to the creations I make today, it's been an incredible adventure.

My new crochet student did phenomenal! In our first two hour class, we did slip knots, chains, and sc in rows! We even nearly finished crocheting a bow. I'm beyond proud!
