I’m very picky about shoes because I’d prefer to dance in socks, but Dance Connection saved me during my comp weekend. I’ve gone through a lot of shoes, and when my third pair of the year started sticking to the dance floor, I was so frustrated. So I went to their counter between prelims and quarters, bought these babies, and have been working hard to make them work for me. They’re a beautiful red, and with having narrow and long feet, the ties are a lifesaver. It takes time to wear them in, my skin is still blistering by the open toe, but to me that means I need to be willing to put in the dance time to make them work. That being said, they are still very comfortable and supportive. This is good craftsmanship, and stellar work from this company, and I commend them for being so professional and kind during my experience. I hope to buy a pair in a more neutral color next time!
Ps: Something I’ve learned that does not take away from how lovely these shoes are. Be aware, buying shoes that are a statement color will make your crappy technique stand out, so once you get a pair, make sure to fix your turn out and articulation. Otherwise, have a second backup pair in tan or black to help hide it a bit better. The second pair will be worth the money ;)
