If you only knew what it feels like to hear someone say, “Wait, wait… don’t close! I want that pink dress in the window!” 🩷🪟that’s what I heard as I was about to leave for the evening yesterday.
In that one simple moment, the long days, the uncertainty, and the sacrifices of owning a small business suddenly feel worth it.
For those of us who are still standing in what was once a thriving, vibrant downtown community, those words are more than a compliment they’re hope. They remind us that people are still noticing, still stopping, and still choosing to support local.
Behind every small business is someone who pours their heart into keeping the lights on, welcoming every customer with a smile, and believing tomorrow will be a little better than today.
