When WILD HABIT was just getting off the ground, Sue and I walked into RAIS CASE/ Mr. B's shop in Del Mar and wondered how we could ever be a part of something so creative, collaborative and beautiful. And eventually wonder turned to good fortune and we were welcomed into our current collective space with those very same people in South O.
And now almost 3 years later, after many successes(and even more failures), running a bi-coastal business and raising a shop baby (and shop dog), we will be saying good bye to this space but not to this community. Because among all of this, it is what matters the most, this nest of people that has made my heart so full it can hardly hold it all.
So while I'm oozing with sentiment today on my last Tuesday at the shop, I'm excited for what is to come. is building the dream (and new home to WILD HABIT) at a new location in Oceanside that will have much of the same magic but a lot more of it and I can't wait. But today I'm just going to to hold tight to all that this space, this community, these partners and customers have given me, for it is so much more than just a shop it is a family.
