I hate my changing towel.

It never fully dries me off, and the microfiber is a complete sensory nightmare for me.

After one too many uncomfortable post-river changes, I stopped looking for a better towel and started thinking about what I actually wanted to wear instead.

I wanted something soft, airy, and cute that I could keep drying off in as I packed up and headed home. Something that felt just as good as being on the river.

That’s what inspired the Take-Out Skirt.

I don’t think women should have to choose between functional gear and feeling like themselves. You can love the outdoors and wear something that fits your style.

Now that I’ve yelled at you...

I have places to be and too much s**t to carry.

The Take-Out Skirt exists because “cute” and “can actually carry my s**t” shouldn’t be mutually exclusive.

Well... this wasn’t exactly in the design brief. 😂

Forgot my towel after a river shower, so the Take-Out Skirt had to step in.

Would I recommend packing an actual towel next time? Absolutely.

Am I impressed that it got the job done anyway? Also yes. 😅

Yesterday these were just ice-covered bundles.

Today they’re one-of-a-kind Take-Out Skirts.

The first two are custom orders (I can’t wait to get them to their new homes ❤️), and the last three are looking for their people.

The waiting is the hardest part. 🌈

Tomorrow I’ll finally get to unwrap these and see what the ice created. Every Take-Out Skirt is one of a kind, and that’s exactly why I love making them.

I realized that friend was me.
