I didn’t leave when it got bad.

I stayed.

Longer than I should have…
longer than I ever thought I would.

Not because I didn’t see it—
but because I kept hoping it would change.

I told myself:
“Maybe this is just a phase.”
“Maybe I’m overreacting.”
“Maybe if I try harder…”

But the truth?

I was slowly losing myself trying to hold something together
that was already breaking me.

The moment everything changed wasn’t loud.

It was quiet.

if I didn’t choose myself, no one else was going to do it for me.

Leaving didn’t make me strong.
