Embroidery machines are awesome high tech machines.
They are also expensive delicate pieces of equipment.
The USB ports are connected directly to electronic boards, most times they are connected directly to the main or motherboard in a machine.
No one would purposely break a thumb drive off in the machine, but I often get machines with thumb drives left in them when they get here.
If a thumb drive gets hit and bent or broke it puts stress on the board the USB is attached to and often breaks it.
The only repair once USB is damaged is to replace the board. A main or mother board is usually $500 to $1500 depending on the machine if it’s even still available.
Make sure to pull your thumb drives and all USB connected devices before moving or transporting your machine.
If you’re looking for a new embroidery machine our NE210 Sewing and Embroidery machine is currently on sale for $999.
