The Universe Really Said “Touch Grass"

Yesterday the internet was down. Today the power is out.

At this point I'm starting to think the universe has looked at my screen time report and decided to intervene personally.

So here I am, embracing full-on Golden Girls energy, sitting around with a cup of coffee and remembering that sometimes your most reliable friend is a caffeine addiction with a warm personality.

Internet gone. Power gone. Coffee? Still here.

Father's Day, Coffee, Oklahoma Winds, and Incel Opinions About Supergirl.

Father's Day ended with straight-line winds taking out the internet and my trampoline, a giant Luke's mug full of coffee, and me embracing my inner Gilmore Girls fan. ☕️

No internet meant touching grass for a while, but somehow the world still found time to argue about Supergirl and continue the never-ending online outrage Olympics.

Some people seem determined to make being mad a full-time hobby. Incels are only the target audience on PornHub or OnlyFans, sorry to bear the bad news.

Meanwhile, I'm over here drinking coffee, surviving parenthood, and wondering if Stars Hollow had fewer drama llamas than the internet.

For my children to p*e, or not to p*e. That is the question. The internet has thoughts, and so do I.

Being a dad sometimes means making the best choice from a list of imperfect options.

If my daughters need help, their safety comes first. Most of the time that means taking them into the men's room with me. If I ever end up in a women's restroom, it's because every other option has been exhausted, it's a last resort, and I'm doing everything possible to be respectful of everyone involved.

Parenting isn't always about finding the perfect answer. Sometimes it's about finding the safest one.

The security guy came by to sell me a better security system... while my porch camera tracked him across the yard and got crystal-clear footage the whole time.

That's a tough sales pitch.

Nothing says "your current setup isn't good enough" quite like being professionally documented by the current setup. 📷😂

Early Father’s Day movie trip with my wife and oldest daughter to see Masters of the Universe. I went in hoping for a fun nostalgia hit, and we all came out pleasantly surprised.

The real review? My family liked it more than they thought they would. Around here, that's high praise. 😆

Good characters, fun action, and a solid excuse to spend time with the people who matter most.
