Saturday mornings are for slowing down a little, grabbing that extra cup of coffee, and wearing something comfortable enough for whatever the day brings. ☕️

This is the kind of outfit I reach for when I want to feel put together without trying too hard. A cute graphic tee, comfy wide leg pants, and sneakers will take you from Saturday morning errands to lunch with the family, ball games, or just hanging around the house.

And can we talk about these fall colors? 🤎 I know we’re still soaking up summer, but I will never say no to warm neutrals, olive greens, and those cozy shades that make getting dressed feel easy.

One thing I’ve learned in my 40s is that I don’t want a closet full of clothes I’m constantly adjusting or waiting for the “right occasion” to wear. Give me comfortable women’s clothing that fits real life, makes me feel confident, and still looks cute.

I used to think confidence meant walking into a room and hoping everyone thought I looked good.

Now that I’m in my 40s, I realize confidence looks a whole lot different.

It’s caring less about being the prettiest woman in the room and more about being comfortable with the woman you’ve become.

It’s wearing the outfit even if your stomach isn’t flat.

It’s getting in the picture instead of always being the one taking it.

It’s realizing that your body is going to change. Your face is going to change. Your priorities are going to change. And fighting every single sign of getting older is exhausting.

Do I still have insecurities? Absolutely.

Do I still have days when I pick myself apart in the mirror? Yep.

But I also know myself better than I ever have.

I know what I bring to the table. I know what I’ve survived. I know what I’ve built. I know who loves me, and I’m finally realizing that the opinion I have of myself matters a whole lot more than the opinions of people who don’t even know me.

Maybe confidence in your 40s isn’t about finally loving every single thing you see in the mirror.

Maybe it’s about deciding you’re not going to waste another decade of your life waiting to feel good enough.

And I think that might be the most confident I’ve ever been.

Yep. That’s my arm.

I could have stood differently. I could have positioned my arm so it looked smaller. I could have picked a different picture altogether.

But why?

We all have things about our bodies we don’t love. Things we pick apart in the mirror. Things we try to hide in pictures. Things we think everyone else notices when, in reality, they probably don’t care nearly as much as we do.

This is the body God gave me.

It’s carried me through 46 years of life. It gave me my children. It’s worked long days, survived hard seasons, built a business, lost weight, gained weight, changed, aged, and kept showing up for me.

And I refuse to spend the rest of my life hiding because somebody else might not like the way I look.

I’m going to wear the tank top.

I’m going to wear the sleeveless dress.

I’m going to get in the pictures.

I’m going to raise my arms, laugh too loud, take up space, and enjoy my life.

Because confidence isn’t finally loving every single thing you see in the mirror.

Sometimes confidence is deciding that the things you don’t love aren’t going to control you anymore.

And if someone doesn’t like my arms, my body, my clothes, or the space I take up in this world?

That’s okay.

The people who truly love me aren’t keeping track of my flaws. My husband, my kids, my family, my friends—they see me.

And those are the people whose opinions matter.

So wear the shorts. Wear the swimsuit. Wear the sleeveless top. Get in the picture.

Your body doesn’t have to be perfect for you to live confidently in it.

This is me. Arms and all. And I’m done apologizing for taking up space.
