It started at St. Charles.

A welding cap found at the Festival of the Little Hills became more than one purchase. He came back for custom caps — and then came back again.

That’s one of the things we love about meeting customers at the shows. You can try on the headwear, find the size and style that works for you, and sometimes that first purchase is just the beginning.

Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest difference.

At Rawls-Riley Creations, we noticed that the cord locks we had been using on our boonie hats weren't performing quite the way we wanted. They could occasionally catch on the cord instead of gliding smoothly.

And for us, "good enough" isn't good enough.

So we're making a change on our new boonie hats.

We've upgraded to premium single-hole cord locks with a stainless steel spring from Oregon Cord Lock. They're stronger, smoother, less likely to snag, and made in the USA—just like our hats.

It's a small upgrade, but it's part of our commitment to making every Rawls-Riley Creations product comfortable, dependable, and built for real life.

One of today's visitors at the Waukee Arts Festival is preparing for an exciting new adventure—moving to Australia to teach!
