We welcome Arvel Bird to our 5th Annual Indigenous Peoples Celebration October 10th and 11th.
At Standing Peachtree Native American Festival
Arvel Bird is a professional violinist, storyteller. He studied classical violin for 11 years including at Arizona State University and the University of Illinois before turning pro and moving from Illinois to Louisville, KY, to play folk and old-time mountain fiddle. He has played bluegrass, country music then developed his own style of playing. He was hired to play for Glen Campbell, Clay Walker, Tom T. Hall, Ray Price, Louise Mandrel and Loretta Lynn. He launched his own record label in 2000 called Singing Wolf Records and went on to release 25 CDs, DVDs which he received numerous awards in the NAMAs, CAMAs, and other indie platforms for best instruments, best producer, and Artist of the Year.
