❤️ Growing Sprouts + Heart Heroes ❤️

This partnership is especially close to our hearts (pun intended).

When our own heart warrior was recovering from open-heart surgery, we received a tote filled with so many wonderful things.

Items of hope. Items of support. Items from one heart mom to another. ❤️

For many cardio families, the words “your baby has a heart defect” come at the 20-week ultrasound.

One moment, you’re dreaming about the baby you’re going to meet. The next, your entire world is flipped upside down.

The next 20 weeks are filled with appointments, procedures, questions, what ifs, and a whole lot of fear. You wonder how someone so tiny, so precious, and so perfect could already have such a big fight ahead of them. ❤️‍🩹

Kitty and her wonderful team at Heart Heroes also knows this feeling and set out to create totes that are sent to families who also receive this scary news. These totes are full of resources, support, and love.

We are so excited to have 125 of our large blankets included in Heart Heroes care packages for families who find out at their 20-week or prenatal appointment that their baby has a congenital heart defect.

We are so honored that our blankets can be a small source of comfort for another family walking this journey. ❤️

I want to hear YOUR blanket stories. 💛

Does your child have a blanket they absolutely cannot sleep without?

Maybe it's:

🧸 The blanket they've had since birth
✈️ The blanket that goes everywhere
🏥 The blanket that got them through a hospital stay
😴 The blanket that MUST be in their bed every night
😂 The blanket you are terrified to wash because "WHAT IF THEY NOTICE?"

There is a reason behind every Growing Sprouts blanket.

It started with our own family sitting in a hospital room.

When our son Ashten came home from the hospital, he became critically ill. He was resuscitated, intubated, and spent more than two weeks fighting for his life.

While sitting beside him, I asked the nurses a simple question:

"What do you need the most in hospital rooms?"

Their answer?

Good quality blankets.

That conversation stuck with me.

I started working with them to create something that could actually stand up to hospital life while still being incredibly soft and comforting.

And Growing Sprouts was born.

Today, when we send a blanket to a child in a hospital, I think about that little boy who changed the direction of our lives.

This is why we do what we do.

It's never been just about blankets. ❤️

🤍 Growing Sprouts + Laelle & Levia’s Legacy 🤍

Laelle & Levia's Legacy was founded in honor and memory of Jaalah's conjoined twin baby girls, Laelle and Levia, who were born and went to heaven in April of 2025. This wonderful nonprofit was designed to provide comfort and support to families in the community who are facing the difficult journey of pregnancy and infant loss, and to let them know they are not alone!

We’re honored to partner with Laelle & Levia’s Legacy and provide blankets for their Comfort Baskets, which are given to families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss.

These baskets provide comfort, support, and meaningful items to families during an incredibly difficult time. 🤍

A blanket can’t take away the pain, but we hope it can provide something soft to hold and a reminder that someone cares.

We are so grateful to be a small part of the beautiful legacy Laelle and Levia’s Legacy is creating. 🤍
