I spent hours going through a box just like this and reading about all the fascinating things inside! My mom understood the assignment. 🤎🐶

I probably would’ve waited until I found one while thrifting… but Mom found this vintage basset hound on Marketplace and surprised me with it instead.

Is it ridiculous how happy a vintage dog statue can make a grown woman? Absolutely.

One of the donation bags for our school’s used uniform sale definitely understood the assignment… just not the right assignment. 😂

Mixed in with the clothes were band tees from:

🚪 The Doors

I’m pretty sure someone is going to be wondering where those shirts disappeared to. 😅

Moral of the story: Always double-check the donation bag before you drop it off!

When I pictured myself driving a vintage car, I was thinking something classic… maybe a cute old wagon or a retro convertible.

Instead, life handed me a 1998 Nissan Quest. 🤣

I mean… technically it’s vintage now, right? 😂🚐

The one that got away… didn’t. 😍

I saw this vintage warming tray a few days ago and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I kept wondering if someone else had already snagged it… but IT WAS STILL THERE! 🙌

And as if that wasn’t enough, the huge picture I’d been eyeing was still waiting for me too… plus a few other treasures… including a wicker TREASURE CHEST. 😆

Am I dirt poor after my sister thrifting trip? Absolutely.
Did that stop me? Absolutely not. 🤣

Sometimes you just have to rescue the things that were clearly meant to come home with you. ❤️
