A lot of the pressure modern mothers feel was never created by children.
It was created by comparison.
By constantly seeing how other people parent, decorate, organize, celebrate, cook, play, and “do it all.”
But small children are not analyzing your house the way adults do.
They’re not keeping score of how many activities you planned that week.
They care about much simpler things.
Did you laugh with them today? Did you listen when they were excited to tell you something? Did they feel important in your presence?
Most of the comparison mothers carry… doesn’t exist in a child’s mind. It exists online.
To your child, you are not competing with other parents. You’re simply home. 🤍
