Have you tried ink tracing? I enjoy the simple meditation of following along the lines. No stress to properly shade, pick colors, or stay inside the lines..:. I mean, you are literally making the lines.

I think this collection is my favorite, of all of the ones I’ve made so far. If you’ve been in our Whatnot shows, you probably know why. (I have a real thing for books and book stacks.)
