The night before what was only my fourth 5k, my then-three year old told me my race outfit was boring! I took a page from her book and this ChaseThisSkirt was born - in fabulous fuchsia sparkle. I received several compliments on my sparkly fuchsia skirt the next day at my race. It made me feel like I was an entirely different runner! Spectators perked up and started cheering for me as I ran by. It
was wonderful getting all of that extra encouragement just for adding something fun and different to my outfit. After that, I began sewing sparkly skirts for all of my races. I soon ventured into patterned prints that were just as fun! Friends started to ask me to make skirts for them too. Strangers at races would ask me how they could get one of my skirts. I took that as my cue to open up an Etsy shop to share my designs with you! CTS is constantly expanding and I have you all to thank. I hope that you will find as much joy in my running skirts as I have. I learned to sew when I was about 7 years old. Yep, you guessed it - my supercool grandma taught me how to sew... and knit... and crochet... and how to play craps. Professionally, I used to work in the film industry as a visual effects coordinator. After having kids, I "retired" from the movie business but my creative itch still needed to be scratched. I've found that outlet again in creating skirts, headbands and hats!
