Our Story
Carnelian Sol Designs is a lifetime of artistic skills. I did beading in the 1960s when many other hippies did. I still have those tiny beads in glass vials with real cork stoppers. Sadly, those beads are so small they are very difficult to add to my current designs. From there, I dabbled in tie dye. sewing and costume design, painting, ceramics and many other media.
Carnelian Sol Designs is inspired by a love for history and nature. I was gifted with three antique trade beads in the mid-1970s and fell in love with their story and their unique beauty. Now, I blend antique beads with natural elements to create unique jewelry designs.
In addition, I use ancient Japanese tyeing and modern techniques to create hand-dyed textiles. These dyed scarves are only available during my fall and winter shows. [��̃y
Bohemian Medley Bracelets. These are one of my signature designs incorporating antique trade beads. wood, bone, horn and natural stone with Czech glass.
