Happy National Sewing Machine Day! 🧵✨

Meet my ride or die: the Brother Innovis N3600D. After countless projects, sew-alongs, capsule wardrobes, and handmade garments, this machine continues to deliver.

One of the biggest lessons I've learned? It's not about the price tag. It's about knowing your machine.

Master these three things:
✔️ Tension settings
✔️ Presser foot selection
✔️ Needle size

Those skills will improve your sewing more than most machine upgrades ever will.

The fly front zipper doesn't have to be scary. I promise.

I'm sewing McCall's 8632 start to finish — trousers turned Bermuda shorts in a sold-out House of Mami Wata Ankara print . Fly front zipper, functional pockets, and a clean waistband finish. Every step, no skipping.

Behind every sewing video, Reel, thumbnail, and project… there’s a LOT of planning happening behind the scenes 👀✂️

I decided to take y’all inside my real content creator routine — from planning ideas and filming sewing tutorials to editing videos, creating thumbnails, and scheduling uploads 📅🎥🧵.

One thing I’ve learned as a sewing creator and creative entrepreneur is this: consistency gets easier when you create systems that work for YOU 💕. All the deets are on YouTube now!!!!

I’m getting ready to cut into my fabric for these flared pants using McCall’s 8632… but listen—

Cutting is NOT just “cut and go.”

This is where:
❌ Wrong size gets locked in
❌ Fit issues start
❌ Fabric gets wasted

And we are NOT doing that over here 😂

Instead, we’re doing this the right way:
✔ Picking the correct size (not guessing)
