Everyone knows I love to tell a good story. Well, yesterday was the Ortley Beach craft fair and one woman just touched my heart. (There are always one or two customers who become memorable at every event!)

This woman approached my booth to see if I sell chains. She told me she had lost her husband two weeks ago and she was wearing his chain with a Saint Peregrine medal, so I knew immediately she lost him to cancer because Peregrine is the patron saint for cancer sufferers. However the chain was rusted and knotted to hold the medal on. So she picked out a chain and I unknotted the old necklace and put her beloved medal on a new chain, then polished the medal. She was so grateful she told me “God puts good people in your path.” Her words touched my heart. I hope they touch yours too.

This is why I do what I do. I meet the nicest people in the world.

You may have noticed I have not been doing a great job posting recently. This is the reason why. My first little granddaughter was born on July 3rd and she is consuming a lot of my time these days. Don’t worry, I will get back into the swing of things soon and hopefully, as she gets older, I can teach my Princess the family business! 😉👸
