Two Cousins weeSale friends! We would like to take this opportunity to lift up and thank those in our community who have donated clothing, baby equipment, feeding supplies and more in order to help those in need. As many of you know, we are a consignment shop. Most of our items are consigned by local familes or individuals who in turn use their earnings to buy items needed for their own family. When their item sells, consignors earn a portion of the proceeds. We use the rest to pay the mortgage, pay the light bill, pay our hired help, insurance, taxes.. and also to support the needs of our community and county.
Thank you shoppers and consignors! We appreciate you so much and we love the fact that you continue to be a big part of Market street revitilization! You are THE reason Two Cousins weeSale - Osage City is here in downtown Osage City. We owe our success to you, our consignors, our shoppers, and our retail downtown friends who send their customers to us! We love having a downtown filling up with businesses and familes. It is an exciting time for Osage City!
We also have individuals (some of them are consignors but many are random people that want to help those who are struggling financially) who choose to donate. If an individual comes in and does not want to consign but wants to donate, we place their items under a specific number. 100% of the earnlngs in this number go towards helping those who are in need. We do not take a percentage out but instead do our best to help as many people as we can with those funds. This allows individuals to shop for the items they need and desire, making sure that items fit their sizes needed, etc. We believe with our whole heart that giving back to our community and providing for those in need when we can, is important. We are a small business so unfortunately our reach is limited.. but we will continue to help when we can. This is where we could use your help...
In this season of back to school, working hard to make ends meet, and affording gas and food, we recognize that there are area children and families who are struggling to clothe and feed their families. We would like to remind the community that if you know of someone in need, especially children who are preparing for back to school, please reach out to us. Supplies may be limited, but we will do our best to donate a few outfits, a backpack, or something that is needed to ensure that back to school is a special time for them as well. Every child deserves a safe home, a full stomach, and clothing and essentials to help them feel good at school. No questions asked.
If you yourself are in need, or you know of someone that can use a little help right now, please know that this is a safe place to reach out. We have also shared this with local helping agencies such as Help House, the various local schools, and to counselors and providers locally. Please know that we will not disclose names nor share their personal information. We can even find a way to help where we ourselves don't need to know names. We will also do our best to connect individuals to agencies that can help, when our supplies or services are limited. We will do so with dignity, kindness, and without judgment. We stand by this promise. We ourselves have experienced being in need.. circumstances were different but we do understand the bravery it takes to ask for help.
Again, thank you to those who have helped us with donated items so that we can in turn help other people. Please know that this fund is getting used on a regular basis and that your gift is making a BIG difference in the lives of children who are excited for that first day of school, that birthday, or that mom who could use a new coat or jacket for herself as well. We appreciate you and your generosity! Please reach out if you have any questions or know someone in need.
With gratitude,
Stephanie & Jaryl Seth
