For years, I’ve been talking about the Romanian Military in WW2. Their involvement often goes ignored and forgotten about, overshadowed by the Germans and Soviets. Years back I began the journey of trying to spread information about them so people would expand their knowledge of the Eastern Front and realize that it was much larger and more people were involved than most documentaries and movies show. In order to do that in a cool way that I like learning, I play dress up to show people what a typical soldier from the nation I’m talking about would have been wearing, and try to get the uniforms and gear and weaponry as close as possible for each one. For years I’ve had a Romanian uniform that was custom made, but the details weren’t correct as the details are extremely hard to research and originals are very rare. That was what I had to work with until recently, and am now SUPER excited to say I have a uniform maker who has the Romanian M39 wool uniform down to the detail, and they were worth the wait!! They will be up on the site soon, and available for pre order. Both styles of hats will also be available for order.
