For my latest (ad)venture, I am renting space at Originals Mall of Antiques (located on the West Frontage Rd. between 9th and 20th Avenue) to sell records and other music, sports, and beer collectibles.

Howdy All! It has been nearly a month since our last major add, a long time in these parts, but Jerry finally remedied that late today (Friday, August 21) by adding about 100 great "Vintage Records at Vintage Prices" to our always hungry bins. Jerry has been triply busy lately. In addition to his typically frantic schedule, he's also fresh off of a 40+ hour Stage Crew stint for the awesome Jolly Jester production of "Shrek." Rest assured, no matter how busy things are, we are always quietly working on finding, cleaning, and delivering the types of early vintage pressings you have come to expect from JRJ in their best possible form.

We are not messing around here! Beatles fans should take note of the special copy of the White Album going in. It is the super rare 1st pressing with 7 label errors that were corrected on later issues. This is hard-to-find in any condition and this one is pretty nice, As you can see, there are more than 10 records each by three of the biggest legends in music history: Elvis (15), Dylan (11), and Willie Nelson (16) along with a smattering of some of our other favorites. Better yet, work has already commenced on a follow-up load that will come much more quickly than this one did.

Greetings from New York City where Jerry and Marie are enjoying their honeymoon!!! Jerry quietly slipped a new set of "Vintage Records at Vintage Prices" into the hungry bins at JRJ late on Saturday. Between prepping our home for EAA renters, the flight, and immediately immersing ourselves in NYC, I am only now able to post this update. Several of the records shown have already sold (the three Dwight Yoakam and several of the Kiss albums were gone within hours) which is an awesome testament to the awesomeness of our vinyl loving friends.

We also took the opportunity to update our spot and signage. It is our mission to create the best possible experience for our pals and we will continuously be looking for ways to improve it.

Howdy everyone!!! It has been WAY too long since we have added a new set of "Vintage Records at Vintage Prices" to the hungry bins at JRJ, but that will finally change today!!! In addition to working two other jobs, our fearless leader, Jerry, married his sweetheart last week and was ridiculously busy preparing in the weeks leading up to it. He continues to receive little support from his hapless staff (Me, Myself, and I) so everything took longer than usual. The records shown will be added at around 3:30 on Thursday, July 2.

There is a lot of variety in this set of roughly 130 records. As you can see, there are 14 Rolling Stones albums along with multiple titles by Bob Dylan, the Who, Jimi Hendrix, and the Moody Blues.

It seems hard to believe, but Jerry's Record Joint turns 10 years old on June 11th. We started offering our "Vintage Records at Vintage Prices" at Folklore LLC (across from the Roxy) on June 11th, 2016 and remained there until they closed their doors about two years later. We moved to our current home at Originals Mall of Antiques in 2018 and have proudly remained there ever since.

To celebrate, Jerry is getting married to his longtime love Marie in less than two weeks. While the marriage plans are legit, the date was in fact set without consideration for the JRJ anniversary (i.e. it was a joke). He also gave our little slice of vinyl heaven an update that was mainly motivated by his decision to move the huge white pigeon coop shelf to our corporate headquarters (Jerry's house). We think the new set-up works just fine and we hope our fabulous vinyl-loving friends agree! Jerry is even giving his under-appreciated and oft-harassed staff (Me, Myself, and I) the day off.

Friends have been made along the way and people have been incredibly kind and complimentary to our efforts. A recent example was yesterday. Jerry was working on the overhaul and a young patron was relieved to learn that we were just rearranging and not moving and/or closing. We are grateful to anyone and everyone who has supported us along the way. We realize that there are tons of great options for finding vinyl, and we are humbled to know that so many make us a part of their quest for quality vinyl. We will work our tails off to keep things rolling.

***OUR APOLOGIES FOR FIRST CIRCLING BACK TO THIS NOW AND UPDATING OUR ORIGINAL POST***

We hope your Memorial Day weekend was fantastic and included honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our fragile freedoms in some way. We also want to wish a Happy Birthday to the man himself, the one-and-only Bob Dylan, who turned 85 on Sunday. Anyone who has been around Jerry in any capacity understands the love he has for his amazing musical vision and journey. It has literally helped to shape his approach to life.

Jerry added the "Vintage Records at Vintage Prices" shown on Sunday, and this set, as usual, included some Bob. Other highlights include some amazing Byrds albums, including the super hard-to-find "Sweetheart of the Rodeo," along with a first pressing of the Ramones second album "Leave Home." Also worth noting is the highly sought ZZ Top's "First Album." Hardcore Beatles fans are familiar with the first pressing of the White Album that had 7 song titles misspelled and were ultimately corrected on later pressings. The copy going in is one of those rarities. There is also an amazing sounding original mono copy of "Magical Mystery Tour." (NOTE: The Clash, Weird Al, and Love albums already sold!)

As promised, Jerry is back today with a new batch of "Vintage Records at Vintage Prices" and they will go in at around noon today (Saturday, April 25). Lots of goodies in this batch and we (Me, Myself, and I) have worked overtime to make them the best versions of themselves possible.

Deadheads take notice!!! A few of these adds are top copies!!! "Blues for Allah" and "Terrapin Station" are beautiful and the copy of "Steal Your Face" is cleaner than most. Also worth noticing is a fantastic early pressing of David Bowie's "Heroes." There are tons of great folk rock classics like Joni Mitchell's "Blue," John Denver's "Rocky Mountain High," and the Byrds' "Notorious Byrd Brothers" to name just a few. The vintage pressing of Black Sabbath's "Vol. 4" looks beat as can be but plays decently. There is lots of surface noise that affects the quiet passages but the rockers sound terrific with this "hot mix."
