Will a longer pressure washer hose reduce PSI? Yes, but the pressure loss depends on hose length, ID, and flow rate.
As GPM increases, the pressure drop becomes more pronounced, especially in smaller-diameter hoses or longer hose runs. Before choosing a longer hose, check your system specs to match the hose size to your pressure washer.

Cracked pump pistons can be caused by freezing damage, poor water flow, debris damage, wear, or thermal shock from rapid temperature changes.

Before replacing a damaged piston, inspect the surrounding seals and pump components, then verify your pump model number, part diagram, and replacement part dimensions before ordering.

To help prevent future cracking, flush or winterize your pump and use a pump saver when storing your pressure washer in freezing conditions.

Spring is here. Is your pressure washer ready?

Before the first start of the season, we recommend draining any old fuel from the tank and carburetor, then refilling with fresh ethanol-free fuel. Stale fuel can cause hard starting, poor performance, and carburetor issues after sitting through the winter.

It’s also a good time to check your oil level, inspect hoses and fittings, and make sure your spray tips, pump, and engine components are ready to go.
