On this last day of July, the market is in full swing. The booths are brimming with new wares and some creative new vendors. And the auction preview and pickup are hopping.

Vintage fun fact: On July 31, 1790, the first U.S. patent was issued to inventor Samuel Hopkins for a new process of making potash salt, used in both fertilizer and soap. We love celebrating creativity and innovation in all its forms, from historic inventions to today's talented makers and collectors.
