A new chapter for MUF&D began this year. Thanks to the generous support of the John W. Altman Institute for Entrepreneurship and Kathy Bintz, we were able to introduce an exciting new opportunity to recognize and support the incredible talent within our designer community.

For the first time, two outstanding designers were awarded monetary prizes in recognition of their exceptional work in the categories of Most Creative and Most Commercial. Congratulations to Molly Forgach and Camille Keaty for receiving these honors and for sharing your vision, dedication, and artistry on the Allure runway.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our designers in this new way and cannot wait to continue this tradition for years to come

As we get ready to welcome another year of Miami University Fashion & Design, hear from our 2026 Icon Class as they reflect on the experiences, opportunities, and community that have shaped their time in MUF&D.

“I remember hearing about MUF&D for the first time as a freshman at Miami. I was ecstatic. I didn’t think there would be any student orgs that I would genuinely be excited for. I saw that there was model casting and immediately signed up. From the moment I walked in, I felt at home. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, talented, and inspiring. Before joining, I had never really found people who shared my passion for modeling, but MUF&D gave me that community. I ended up meeting my best friend at auditions, and we’ve been roommates and best friends ever since. Over the past two years, MUF&D has given me so much more than creative opportunities. It has given me confidence, lasting friendships, and a true sense of belonging at Miami. If you’re thinking about joining, you absolutely should. You never know how much it might change your college experience.”

“When I first came to Miami, I knew I wanted to get involved and join as many organizations as possible. After seeing MUF&D on Instagram, I submitted an application to model for their social media. I was invited to participate in a photoshoot, and I quickly realized how much I enjoyed the creativity and teamwork that the org fostered.

That spring, my roommate and I attended the annual fashion show, and I immediately fell in love with the intricacy of each collection and the genuine passion that every member poured into their work. Sophomore year, I auditioned to become an Icon for the upcoming show, and looking back, I truly believe it was one of the best decisions I could have made.

MUF&D has given me countless opportunities to learn, grow, and become a more confident version of myself. It has shown me the incredible process of bringing a creative vision to life and the dedication, collaboration, and hard work required to create something truly special. The exp

A show of this scale is never created by one person. Rather, it is built through collaboration, trust, and a shared passion for something bigger than ourselves. To our Executive Board, thank you for the countless hours, thoughtful ideas, and unwavering dedication that brought Allure to life. From the earliest stages of planning to the final moments on the runway, your leadership, creativity, and commitment shaped every detail of this production.

A special thank you to our President, Sara Rose Detwiler, and Vice President, Audrey Fitzgerald, for your incredible time, dedication, and leadership throughout this journey. Your vision and commitment guided MUF&D through every challenge and milestone, helping bring this year’s show to new heights.

We are also incredibly grateful for our advisor, Jamie Schisler, whose constant support, guidance, and encouragement helped make this production possible. Thank you for always being there to share your expertise and help us bring our ideas to life.

This milestone year would not have been possible without the vision and teamwork of each person who contributed their time and talent. Thank you for pushing boundaries, supporting one another, and continuing to elevate what MUF&D represents. Your work created more than a fashion show, it created an experience and a lasting legacy.
