The JMA × CAL TODA Collaboration Anthem
Some of the most beautiful chapters in life are the ones we never planned to write.
One dream began with the soft pages of a children's book, created to preserve Filipino culture for the next generation.
The other came with the roar of engines, the strength of a brotherhood, and the unmistakable pride of Filipino tricycles rolling through America.
Two completely different worlds. Two unexpected paths. One beautiful connection.
And on October 4, 2026, those worlds came together in my beloved City of Oxnard at Fiestas Filipinas — a celebration I had the incredible honor of co-chairing with the Filipino American Council of Ventura County.
This four-minute video, set to our collaboration anthem, “Soft Pages Met Strong Rides,” captures more than an event. It captures the culmination of months of planning, sacrifices, sleepless nights, friendships, and a dream that grew far beyond anything I imagined.
CAL TODA began as an inspiration behind Chapter 3 of Jennalyn's Masarap Adventure, Book 4 of Jennalyn's Mabuhay Adventures™.
But somewhere along the way, the riders became more than characters and inspiration for a story.
They became family.
And this little beginning author discovered that sometimes the strongest people are the ones who show the gentlest support.
To my FACVC family, my CAL TODA brothers and sisters, and everyone who helped make this celebration possible — my heart is overflowing with gratitude.
I began this journey hoping to write stories that would inspire children to embrace their Filipino heritage.
I never imagined that, in the process, I would become part of a story so much bigger than my own.
This is our Mabuhay Moment. This is our anthem. This is our story.
