I wanted to take some time and share my heart for Troubled Waters and the story behind it. I have always had a heart for mental health. I have struggled with anxiety for most of my life. Over the years have had my anxiety be dismissed as a lack of trust in God. I began hiding my anxiety which only brought more shame. As the years went on I went on to struggle with depression and PTSD from my trauma. I questioned if God was a loving God why would I go through so much pain. At the end of 2020 I decided things were going to change. In January 2021 I began my Counseling journey which has been the greatest most rewarding experience of my life! I went on to discover who God really is. I realized that I didnโ€™t have a true relationship with God. He never shamed me even in my deepest struggles. He waits for us to come to Him. I have learned that Jesus says in John 16:33 that in this world we will have trouble, but take heart as He has overcome the world! Yes there will be trouble and trials in this world but if we lean on Him He will give us peace!

Troubled Waters comes from the verse in Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters I will be with you;
When you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep you over.
When you walk through the fire you will not be burned.
It doesnโ€™t mean it wonโ€™t get hot or hard but that He will always walk beside us. We have to trust in His overall plan.
He knows the ending to all of our stories. He is the author of life. This is all for His glory!
