It's been a busy summer of gigs, personal projects at Rachel Smith Illustration, classes and certifications, work Dive Bar Sacramento and more! Getting caught in the grindstone of all that commitment has left us feeling pretty overwhelmed and down on ourselves. Especially when summer is our favorite season, and it always feels like there's very little time to enjoy it. Add getting older, less stamina, bodies shifting, AILMENTS... it's a lot to process. And it can leave you feeling so tapped out, and washed up.
Mermaid Rachel realized the other day while doing an interview for Lo**ta Vasquez that she hadn't had any pro pics taken for a long time... not in tail. Why shoot when you don't feel good about yourself? But a few weeks back at Mermaid Krista ✨'s Content Pool, Tahoe Banshees captured this... now it's OUR NEW FAVE.

There's that ambitious mermaid who doesn't know when to stop. There's that woman who still believes in real magic. There's the girl who wants to do it all, and still has time to do it. The possibles are endless. Thank you, Aleks for a little photo that's made a big impact.

It's been a very busy gig summer - which we are so greatful for! We LOVED swimming out to UMC Preschool Burlingame for their adorable orientation. Always love working with Merman Jax 🩵 So many more gigs on the horizon...

Today is our merbrother's birthday 🩵 Mermaid Rachel is so lucky to have someone in her life like Merman Jax - not only as a professional colleague, but as a treasured and close friend. No one does what he has done, and we are forever proud of how he lives his life authentically, with true artistry, creativity and rich feeling. The Cancer mother vibe to our Capricorn father energy. May this year and every year be a beautiful one for you! See you tomorrow, friend!!!

We are swimming back to the festival this Saturday! Love heading back to our home town and seeing some of our favorite friends. It's been a busy gig year already - we are greatful for all our clients and jobs on the calendar
