When the phone rings I never know who it’s going to be. A few days ago I got a call from an old guy living in Westport. He had been a fisherman his whole life. He told me the well to his house was busted along with some other repairs needed and had some items he thought I might be interested in for the store. So today, off I went to see the treasures. Needless to say I was a bit shocked to see his lifelong glass float collection. He said he had fished most of these out of the ocean and the others his dad. We are talking all the way back to the 50’s. He told me “you are only the 4th owner. First the Japanese man who made them, the fisherman who used them, him then you.” Cool!! Now you can be the next in line to own these special Japanese glass floats. There are over 100 of them.

We are finally seeing signs of Spring at the beach. Sooz Rusty Nail has fresh stock and yard art items will be arriving in 2 weeks. PB Meadows, across the street, is back open for pop ups with beautiful, bright flowers, plants and gifts to start or add to your garden space. So, get in your car and get out to 54 & 55 Main St Pacific Beach next time you at the beach.
