Today's shared creation is a basket with handles. The stitch used to crochet this basket leaves the bottom a bit flexible, so I have included a wood insert to make it sturdier. Because these colors make me think of a peacock (the middle cord color is even called Peacock Blue), I engraved one on the wood insert. The insert can be turned over for a plain bottom.

I've been busy playing around crocheting baskets using different macrame cords and a couple of different crochet stitches. I've decided to stick with the stitch the first three baskets are done in because it makes a nice sturdy basket. The fourth basket is a bit wimpier so I've added a wood insert for the bottom.

Ta-Da!!! Here's my latest creation, which I think is a true masterpiece. LOL! It took me hours to design using a spreadsheet program and at least six hours to actually create! It's 24" wide and almost 29" from the top of the hanging cord to the bottom of the fringe.

At this time, I am not listing it on Etsy. If I can figure out a way to ship it without messing up the bottom fringe, I'll add it to the shop. In the meantime, it's only available for pick up in Pahrump. Contact me if you're interested!

Here's my latest creation! The closeup photo shows a better representation of the indigo cord color. In the past I've really struggled with getting the diamonds to all come out looking about the same, so never felt they were worthy of being listed. I think I finally succeeded!

This is the two-tone gray plant hanger I said I wanted to make... sort of. LOL! I meant to have the colors switched, but I mixed up the numbers in my head when I cut the cords. Also, the charcoal wasn't quite as dark as I thought it would be. I still like it though!

I've wanted to make this for awhile, but was afraid to try. When I started it yesterday I thought for sure it would come out looking like a lopsided mess. LOL! Those "lines" of stitches never go how I want them to. BUT, I actually did it!!! I absolutely love how it turned out!! Though I'm tempted to keep it for myself, I have listed it in my Etsy shop.

Since the other two horseshoe heart wall hangings sold, but the one I did as a hat hanger wasn't getting any attention; I took that one apart and changed it to a wall hanging. This is a completely different design than the others. I think I'll redo a hat hanger on a regular horseshoe though. This IS the LAST horseshoe heart that I have!

This is a custom ordered plant hanger I finished yesterday. The customer wanted light gray cord, so I ordered it. It's really pretty with a silver look to it. I'm going to order the charcoal gray too now, because I think one with the combination of grays would look really nice!
