🌻 August: The Sunday of Summer

You know that feeling on a Sunday afternoon when you realize the weekend's basically over and Monday is lurking around the corner? That's August. It's summer's Sunday — the days are numbered, the kids are already eyeing their backpacks, and somewhere a school supply list is being printed.

So instead of spending August in denial, we say: lean into it. Consider this your last long, lazy weekend of the season — except instead of a nap on the couch, you're making something with your hands, and instead of dreading Monday, you're dreading nothing at all, because you signed up for a class and gave yourself permission to just enjoy it.

And let's be honest — "back to school" isn't just for kids. It's the perfect excuse for us too. So welcome back to class, no homework required (except maybe pressing your seams — we will absolutely still check😉).

This month's class lineup has something for everyone!

📚 Feeling nostalgic for the first day of school? We've got new classes to make you feel like the smartest kid in the room.

🧵 Have a UFO (unfinished object) haunting your sewing room since spring? August is your redemption arc.

😄 Just need a solid excuse to leave the house before "back to school chaos" fully sets in? We've got you.

Remember... every quilter starts August with a plan to "just finish a few projects before fall"...
..and ends August having started four new ones instead.

So grab your machine, grab a friend (recruitment is encouraged), and join us for a month of laughs, learning, and the kind of productive procrastination we fully endorse.

After all, teachers give out gold stars...
..but we let you buy fabric instead. Much better reward system.

The Beginning Quilt class finished their quilts this past Sunday!

The pattern was Floating Stars with everyone choosing their own fabric, we had patterns from shells, sunflowers, dragonflies, Christmas, all looking so different. Great job !! It was a pleasure teaching this class.

Next beginner series will be in March/April dates TBA - watch for it on the calendar.
