All of my supplies are at the apt in Ferris and I am not there so not working on fashions or silk painting.

My fav silk painter is Daniel Jean-Baptist who lives on St Lucia island. His work is beautiful. All the artwork (and Chinese books, etc) i bought was before i retired so i can’t budget for his beautiful silk art now, but i still can enjoy.

I love watching his videos on techniques and i really miss silk painting myself. I always used resist rather than wax-based guttas one needed solvents to use with. The Serti technique uses either resists or gutta so a little fence can be drawn to hold in the paint and stop it from bleeding.

Really loved seeing photos this week of my granddaughter's wedding gown and also a wedding gown from the 1950s.
