Like a phoenix from the ashes, "A New Chapter" is the culmination of a year of hard work and a deep love born from its predecessor, the well loved "Books And More". As times change and life happens, there comes a point at which it is time to turn the page and begin anew- an ideal which has been the driving force behind the owner, Krista's, determination to reopen- smaller perhaps, but better than

ever. Wood St, A New Chapter aims to offer Paris a comfortable and cozy environment in which to step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life; a place to relax, sit back, and enjoy the feel of a good book and a cozy chair. We currently accept Books, Audiobooks, Comics, Manga, DVDs, Puzzles, Board Games, Card Games, and Video Games. These items may be donated or given in exchange for Trade Credit; this Credit may then be used for a 50% discount on the listed items and is kept track of by the owner herself- no more having to keep up with ticket stubs or receipts if you don't use it all! To supplement our lack of new titles, A New Chapter offers special orders for books- orders must be placed in person and paid in advance. We are also open to after hours events- groups wanting somewhere to play DnD or other tabletop RPG games, board games, etc, should contact Ms. Fleener at any time to discuss scheduling of hours and pricing.

Managed to get some shelf shuffling done today while our Dolmenwood group was enjoying a new TTRPG system. Our Hobby section (including everything from crafts to gardening to HAM Radio) is now located on the center shelf opposite the Cookbooks, which cleared our old Library cart for general use again.

Newly processed Hardbacks were put away, and we got from Historical Fiction all the way down to Christian Fiction put away too, so all that's left on the cart are Romance, Mystery, Western, and Horror to get put up. Then we get to dig into the real fun of going through ALLLLLLLL of our Mass Market Paperbacks starting on Tuesday and getting those priced, sorted, and put away.

At some point we need to dig into the duplicates closet and check to see if anything needs pulled from there too...

The work quite literally never ends, but we'd not change it for the world!

We've been slow this week, and bills are fast approaching, so please do us a favor and come visit! We'll be open from 10am-5pm for normal shopping hours, and we welcome you to stop in from 5-9pm during our NSFW Game Night to shop too if you're feeling froggy! Just... don't judge us on what games we might be playing. You could also join us- there'll be plenty of room, we promise!

Tuesday, we go LIVE again for the first time in a while! We'll be working on pricing and putting out the new-to-us Fiction inventory that's been building up over the last month while we got our shelves weeded, starting at 11am.

All new inventory will be put out on what is usually our Penny Sale table (no, it will not be going for pennies), until we can get it ALL done, after which we'll start with the proper organizing and shelving of it all- which means that the more you buy before we get to that point, the less work we have to do. xD
