First, thank you to all of you who have stayed with me and my RubyLu Studio page over the last couple of years as I was taking care of my biggest fan. ❤️

Most of you know Kenny lost his battle with RCC at the beginning of May. My life has changed in a tremendous way.

This post is less about that than where I’m at today. Today I want to live my life to the fullest. My adventure with RubyLu brought me so much joy and creativity. So, I have made the decision to bring her back.

RubyLu 2.0. What does it look like exactly? I don’t know. It won’t be my own storefront I know for sure. It will be outside of my teaching job that I love and am also passionate about. It will be fully MY ART. I won’t be adding other products this time. I have fallen in love with sewing so there will def be some of that. Maybe some painting. Of course there will be stickers and notepads and such. 100% there will be positivity and encouragement. I’ve walked a different side of the road the last two years and I want to share the same kind of encouragement that has been shown to me.

Thank you for staying with my page. I hope you are excited to see Ruby again. ❤️🪩

It’s been two years since I felt God whispering to my heart about closing my business RubyLu Studio. As painful as the decision was, I knew I could trust God. I was spending night and day working on this business with very little time for me, let alone anyone else. I knew I wanted to be a super present Grandma to the baby who was on the way.

What I didn’t know was that God was preparing me to be there for my husband. He would be diagnosed with stage 4 Kidney Cancer with metastasis. We hopped on the cancer rollercoaster In July of 24 and we are still fighting like crazy today.

I just wanted to stop by and say hi as my heart is a little tender towards RubyLu as I reflect back on the decision I made. I haven’t forgot the precious time in my life which was RubyLu…..the creativity, the people, the wild ideas, and the connections. All of it.

I would also like to say I found a renewed passion for teaching. I ended up In 3rd grade at Justiss Elementary. I have built wonderful relationships with my students, I get to be creative In a different way, and am so supported by my co-workers.

I can’t do away with this fb page. I just can’t. What do I plan to do with RubyLu? I don’t know but one day it occurred to me that I am RubyLu. She is the creative side of me. A gift God has given me and she will never stop creating. But for now, I will love on my loved ones and be so grateful for the ones who are loving on us.

Me last night enjoying the Margarita Crawl and supporting downtown. Me also facing the first night downtown walking past an empty RubyLu. Me tearing up a little when a little girl asked me outside of Ruby if it was open. But also me walking past these two and seeing my rocket design out in the wild. Me being reminded that the last 4 years were so much fun and exactly what I needed in my life at the time. Me being reminded of alllll the people I met and how each one of you mean so much to me. Me enjoying time with my friends that I haven’t had in a while and how much I really need that. Just me saying thank you again and if I just randomly hug you because I see you with a Ruby design…well you will know why. ❤️🪩

Open Thursday And Friday 11-6. What is there? Remainder of my inventory at 50% off. Looking for school spirit stuff? I still have quite a bit of that. I also have seasonal decor, baskets, display options, equipment for making videos including lighting, small shelves, wooden crates, cellophane of all sizes, gift wrap, gift boxes, larger size rocket shirts, paris Texas shirt and more. Thank you to all who came and shopped at Ruby today for the 50% off sale. Yes, we still have some great stufff. I have cute pillows, t-shirts, stickers and more. Tomorrow we are open 11-6 again. As far as Saturday I will let you know where we are at as far as inventory. ❤️
