The Diamond Half Diamond.
Each diamond starts as solid sterling silver, cut and then hand engraved one by one. Every line, starburst, and edge brought out with a graver rather than a machine. After engraving, every piece is polished to a refined finish. Each diamond piece is then placed along leather in the iconic Diamond Half Diamond pattern and hammered into place. A sterling silver buckle set completes the band as a single, continous piece.
The story behind that work runs through our silver company Sunset Trails. Many years ago, in their Los Angeles workshop, Sunset Trails built hatbands, buckles, and silver for the cowboys of the silver screen. The kind of pieces that eneded up on western heroes and, famously, Roy Rogers, the "King of the Cowboys."
With the Diamond Half Diamond, we're carrying that legacy forward. The pattern is one of the most recognizable in Western silver, but ours is still cut, engraved, polished, and assesmbled in the spirit of Sunset Trails: slow work, fine materials, and a dedication to our craft.
