I started blogging and creating fashion content for other brands in 2015 as a way to be creative. “Influencer” type work before that was an actual thing. I had worked hard to build a brand and following, and in 2017 decided to open my own store selling my own finds. What I didn’t know is that my little side hobby that I loved, would quickly grow into something much bigger that gave me purpose. After losing our first baby, Ellis, in 2017 - I rebranded my personal blog and shops to “Sincerely, Ellis” in remembrance of our angel baby. I poured every ounce of emotion and turned it into work. (Which I would NOT recommend 🤣 - I’m still rewiring my brain and breaking that task master within myself!)
The next 7 years following were full of hard work, lots of learning - but also infertility. We struggled for nearly 7 years to get pregnant again… and then God came close to me, healed me - and changed everything.
It’s a hard thing to walk away from a successful business - but as I sit here with my miracle girl today in an empty shop, I can’t help but feel God smile on us as I walk away from entrepreneurship to be with Collins full time, and enjoy every second of a life I never thought I’d get to have. God taught me a lot in those 7 years of waiting, and put so many wonderful people in my path. Now it’s time for a new season of life and to enjoy my precious girl! ❤️ - Kayla
