Funny moment while filming this GRWM… a family walked by, stopped, and asked me if I was a model. I said, “No,” but it reminded me of something I say all the time:

Appearance is communication.

55 looks good on me. But it feels even better. 🎉

This birthday feels different.

Not because of where I am.
Not because of what I’m wearing.
Not because of what I’ve accomplished.

It’s because of the woman I have become.

I’ve lived. I’ve loved. I’ve lost. I’ve rebuilt. I’ve healed. I’ve done the work. And somewhere along the way, I stopped trying to become someone else and came home to myself.

At 55, I know who I am.

I love my heart.
I love my spirit.
I love my mind.
I love the woman looking back at me.

There is a freedom that comes when you stop asking the world for permission to fully be yourself.

So this birthday, I’m not celebrating getting older.

I’m celebrating becoming more of ME.

More alive.
More free.
More radiant.
More grateful.
More open to receiving everything God still has for me.

And if these first 55 years taught me anything, it’s this:

The best of my life is not behind me.
I believe I’m just getting started. 🙏🏾
