One of the easiest ways I’ve found to make product photography simpler? Create one beautiful flat-lay setup and use it from multiple angles.

Instead of completely reinventing the background for every photo session, I use a large table as my photography surface and decorate it with pieces that already feel like my brand - vintage details, beautiful textiles, natural elements, artwork, and other little bits of inspiration. Maximalism is the name of the game.

Then I can photograph from above, from the side, close up, or from different corners of the same setup. Suddenly, one styled space gives me a whole collection of photos that still feel cohesive.

For a small creative business, this makes photographing dozens of handmade products much less overwhelming.
